What is it?
ISL is the hosting partner for the Airbnb Cup 2026 – Scarborough North Soccer Festival.
It will be a 5v5 mini-soccer tournament mimicking the world cup featuring Boys U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and Girls U10, U12 , U14, U18 teams.
The event will feature a closing ceremony with small gifts to the participants.
Who is selected?
Coaches for each team in the participating age categories have selected 5 players to represent the team and have reached out to parents to confirm the attendance.
Only the selected and confirmed players may participate in the tournament.

Competition Format & Rules
5v5 mini soccer game – mini nets and no goalies;
Round Robin with each team playing 3 games.
The top 2 (top 4 in divisions with 10 teams) in the standings at the end of round robin advance to playoff round.
15min game slots of continuous play with no halftime or added time;

Ranking criteria
Points, GD, GF, Head-Head
Tie-breaking procedures
Round robin games may end in a tie;
Knockout games that reach the end of time in a tie are determined by a sudden death mini penalty shootout.
In the case of a complete tie in the standings based on ranking criteria above, then the following procedures will apply according to the scenario
Scenario 1 – Teams tied with no impact to a knockout spot
A draw of lots will be done by the event coordinator to determine the final rankings.
Scenario 2 – More than 2 teams tied in standings with a knockout spot to be determined
A draw of lots will be done by the event coordinator to determine the final rankings.
Scenario 3 – 2 teams tied with a knockout spot to be determined
A mini penalty sudden shootout will be held between the 2 teams.
Player substitution rules
5v5 – no substitutions;
Yellow and red card regulations
Yellow = 2min sin bin
Red = min 1 game suspension – referred to competition coordinator to determine potential dismissal of player from the event

U8/U10 – Size 4 ball
U12/U14/U16/U18 – Size 5 ball
Other technical rules applicable to the tournament
Free throws and incidents are indirect free kicks
No offsides
No goalies
Penalty kicks will be a shot at an empty net from kick-off spot (mid-field)
